The Iroquois Central School District Board of Education is comprised of seven (7) members who are elected to serve a five (5) year term.  On June 30, 2012, the five (5) year term of Mrs. Susan Brunner will expire.
 
Residents interested in running for the Board may pick up a petition and informational packet from the District Clerk in room #33 of the Intermedidate Building.  As per Education Law, all prospective candidates must obtain a minimum of 35 valid signatures, which represents two (2) percent of last year's total vote count.
 
The Board of Education will conduct an informational session on March 21, 2012 at 6:00 PM in the District Office Conference Room #33 located in the Intermedate Building. 
 
Qualified candidates must be a resident of the District for at least one (1) year prior to the election, a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years of age, able to read and write, and not an employee of the District.
 
Petitions must be returned to the office of the District Clerk by 5:00 pm on Monday, April 16.  This year's election will be held on May 15, 2012.
