Danny's Helping Hands
Est. 2006Danny’s Helping Hands is the same Helping Hands that has been helping families in the Iroquois Central School District for nearly 10 years. The new and improved name is in honor of Colleen’s brother who passed away in 2013. A graduate of Iroquois, Danny was always the underdog, despite being bullied in school. He was the first to stand up for someone and would give the shirt off his back. His giving and caring heart is the epitome of what this fund and program represents.Danny’s Helping Hands was established as a resource for families and staff in the Iroquois district, in need of short term financial assistance. Some examples include, but are not limited to:l-Utility billsl-Co-pays for medical services--Groceriesl-School suppliesl-Furniturel -Holiday gifts
The fund maintains itself strictly on donations and the generosity of others."Everyone falls on hard times at one time or another, our goal is to make things a little easier”-Colleen Edwards, Coordinator“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much”-Helen KellerIf you would like to donate, please contact Colleen Edwards, Middle School Social Worker at 652-3000, ext. 6115.We accept donations of any kind, as well as gift cards! If you or someone you know could use some assistance, you can place a confidential call to Colleen Edwards, at 652-3000, ext. 6115.For assistance during the holidays, please fill out the form below on this webpage and send to Colleen via mail or email asap but no later than November 16, 2020.
