     Welcome to the Fitness Club homepage!  The Fitness Club is a club held after school to provide all students grades 5-8 an opportunity to learn about the benefits of working out in our Fitness Center, gym, track and Cross Country trails.  The Club is also meant to inform students of the benefits of eating healthy and will be provided healthy snacks once a month to taste test and hopefully talk to their families about.  (Please make sure your child tells me of any food allergies they may have).
    The Fitness Club will meet on every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 2:45-4:15.  Students can then take the bus home, attend Boys and Girls Club (if they are members) or get picked up at the school. Have your child listen to the announcements just in case there needs to be a cancellation. 
    Kids in the Kitchen: This program is offered to students on a first come, first served basis designed to teach them about healthy eating.  It is a FIVE week course that allows the students to prepare their own food while learning about the Nutritional benefits of each ingredient.  I am currently waiting to hear if the program is still being offered through the Food Bank.  I will keep you posted....
