FITNESS CLUB Advisor: Mrs. Carlsonlcarlson@iroquoiscsd.orgWelcome to the Fitness Club homepage! The Fitness Club is a club held after school to provide all students grades 5-8 an opportunity to learn about the benefits of working out in our Fitness Center, gym, track and Cross Country trails. The Club is also meant to inform students of the benefits of eating healthy and will be provided healthy snacks once a month to taste test and hopefully talk to their families about. (Please make sure your child tells me of any food allergies they may have).The Fitness Club will meet once a month when I can get an open facility. Have your child listen to the announcements to find out what day it is that month and sign up outside of my office door. (Girl's PE office) I will announce a week ahead. We will finish by 4:00 so please be sure to pick them up on time or, if they are members, they may walk over to the Boys and Girls Club after.Kids in the Kitchen: This program is offered to students on a first come, first served basis designed to teach them about healthy eating. It is a FIVE week course that allows the students to prepare their own food while learning about the Nutritional benefits of each ingredient. The program will run January 10,17,24,31 and February 7. Time: 2:45-4:45 in room 404 by the gym. You must have a prompt pick up at 4:45. Please return your signed permission slips to Mrs. Carlson ASAP as I can only take the first 8 students that sign up.
