Superintendent's Message
-
Iroquois is committed to five day a week in-person instruction for all students. The District continues to put student safety first and follow the requires set forth by county and state agencies. As these agencies modify their directive Iroquois will adjust our procedure and practices accordingly.
The posted practices and procedures are current as of March 21, 2022. Again, most importantly everyone must remember this situation may evolve causing some or all of these areas to be modified. Everything is based on guidance from the ECDOH, physicians, CDC, vaccination rates, active COVID cases, transmission rates and experiences from last year. The District has implemented numerous mitigation strategies that allow Iroquois to be leader in multiple areas in providing a safe instructional environment for students.
Iroquois will monitor daily for COVID activity within each classroom, grade level, building and District along with the rates of the community. If the data changes, everyone must be ready for an immediate change in requirements and the possibility of remote instruction for a classroom, grade level or building. You can help prevent that situation by your daily habits outside of school. Most importantly, morning screening for signs and symptoms to prevent possible cases from entering the buildings will make the difference.
