Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) Information
Iroquois offers full-day Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK), funded by the New York State Department of Education.
UPK Registration for the 2025-26 school year is still open with spots available at Marilla Primary and Wales Primary.
- For the 2026-2027 school year, children with birthdays between December 2, 2021, and December 1, 2022, are eligible to apply. Registration will begin January 12, 2026 and run through February 27, 2026. If necessary a lottery system will be activated, with numbers being drawn the first week of March (date TBD). UPK applications are in the process of being reviewed. Placement letters will be mailed out to families on April 1st.
- You must be a legal resident of the Iroquois School District.
- The program is a full-day free program (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) and will run five (5) days a week.
- The program will follow the school district calendar, with an anticipated 180 days of student attendance.
- Transportation to and from the program is the family’s responsibility.
- There is no wrap-around childcare provided by the district.
