Good afternoon, here is important information for the week of January 6th:
Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful winter break as we are excited to welcome your children back to school. As we embark on a fresh new year, we look forward to the many opportunities, growth, and exciting experiences that await our students. With their enthusiasm and our shared dedication, we’re confident this will be an incredible year filled with learning, creativity, and success. Let's make 2025 a year to remember!
Board of Education
The Board of Education meeting will be this Wednesday January 8th at 7:00PM in the Middle School STEM Room. There is a Budget Work Session before the meeting at 6:30PM. The agenda can be viewed here: https://go.boarddocs.com/ny/iroquoiscsd/Board.nsf/vpublic?open. All are welcome.
For Parents to Know
Family Support Center
Iroquois Family Support Center is excited to announce their partnership with Horizon’s Health Services to provide in school counseling services. Horizon’s Health Services offers individual and family counseling services (on site or via telehealth). Horizon’s utilized multiple modalities of therapy to improve symptoms of anxiety and depression while developing coping skills to alleviate struggles with mood regulation, school adjustment or peer relationships. Red Hawks Nest Project
The Red Hawks Nest Project has exceeded its goal of $140,000! Our community is truly incredible! Thanks to your generosity, our Intermediate students will soon have a vibrant, inclusive outdoor space that everyone can enjoy. A special thanks to Lauren Cashmore for leading the project, as well as the Kiwanis Club of Elma and the Butterfly Foundation for their generous contributions.
Marilla Primary Pavilion
The Marilla Primary Pavilion Project is moving forward now that we have state approval. The group is looking to raise the remaining 10k of the goal. Once we have the updated quotes we will have a more accurate picture of the final costs.
Athletics
Congratulations to the following athletes who have been selected at recent athletic events as character athletes of the game by cross training athletics:
Kendall – Girls Varsity Basketball; Logan and Alex – Boys Varsity Basketball; Kobe and Michaela – Varsity Wrestling
