Dear Iroquois Family,

Good afternoon, here is important information for the week of May 5th:

As we move through May, we take time to honor and recognize all those who dedicate themselves each day to the success and well-being of our students—our incredible teachers, nurses, support staff, and administrators. At Iroquois, we are fortunate to have some of the very best, and we are deeply grateful for their unwavering commitment to helping our children thrive and grow into active, caring members of society.

 

With spring in full swing, we invite you to join us for some exciting musical events showcasing our talented students:

  • Middle School Band ConcertTuesday, May 6th at 7:00 PM, Middle School Auditorium
  • 5th Grade Chorus and Orchestra ConcertThursday, May 8th at 7:00 PM, High School Auditorium

These performances promise to be inspiring displays of our students’ hard work and dedication.

 

Board of Education 

·         The Iroquois Board of Education, in collaboration with district administrators, has been working hard to develop a thoughtful and balanced budget that continues to support the high-quality education our community values. Key Dates to Remember:

·         Annual Budget HearingTuesday, May 13th at 6:30 PM in the Middle School, followed by the regular Board of Education meeting at 7:00 PM

·         Annual Budget VoteTuesday, May 20th from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM in the Intermediate School Gym

 

·         There is one open seat on the Board of Education, with five candidates running. Absentee and early mail-in ballot applications are available on our website. For more information about the budget, candidates, or to download a ballot application, visit our budget page.

For Parents to Know

·         Advanced Placement Exams start tomorrow for our High School students.  Best of luck to those taking these important exams.

 

·         The Annual District Art Show has a new location!  The artwork of our talented artists will be on display, tomorrow, May 6th from 6:00-8:00PM at The Columns Banquet Center 2221 Transit Rd. Elma, NY 14059.  No tickets required.

 

·         Danny’s Helping Hands will have school supplies for the next school year for those in need.  For more information: https://www.iroquoiscsd.org/family-support-center/dannys-helping-hands/school-supplies-assistance.   

 

 

Athletics

Congratulations to Logan from the Indoor Track team who also received Scholar Athlete Honorable Mention for the Winter 2024-25 season.

Iroquois Varsity Girls Softball Coach Aaron Vanderlip will be recognized 6/12 as Cross Training Athletics Legacy Builder Coach of the Year.  Congrats to Aaron!

Special recognition goes out to our Girls Varsity Flag Football team doing a season long fundraiser to support MS student Max and our Modified Boys Lacrosse team that is wearing arm bands also in support of Max.
