UPK & Kindergarten Registration
2026-27 Universal Preschool and Kindergarten Registrations are now being accepted!
Please go to the Registration button on the Iroquois Website at www.Iroquoiscsd.org for information and procedures.
UPK Registration
Students registering for UPK must have birthdays between December 2, 2021 and December 1, 2022.
· You must be a legal resident of the District and meet the UPK age requirement to register for a UPK seat during open registration, January-February 27, 2026
· The UPK program is a free full-day program M-F from 9am-3pm
· No wrap-around child-care is provided by the district.
· The program follows the school district calendar
· Transportation is NOT provided through the district for UPK students, families must provide transportation
· As registrations are received, the students are assigned a number. If the number of registrants exceeds the number of seats, a random lottery will be held in March.
§ Students whose numbers are picked are assigned seats in their home school, until all the seats are filled.
§ If no seats are available in the home school, the student is offered a seat at another primary school in the district with open seats.
§ If seats become available, they will be filled throughout the year based on the lottery.
§ Parents will be notified of the lottery results in March
Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten students must be at least 5 years old by December 1st, 2026.
· If your student is currently attending UPK with the district, they do NOT need to re-register for Kindergarten.
· Kindergarten registration should be completed by the middle of April 2026 to properly plan for kindergarten screening which is held in May. However, kindergarten registration is ongoing and may be done anytime during the year.
· Current NYS Health forms and immunization records will need to be turned into the school nurse before the start of school.
