Dear Iroquois Family,

As many of you may know, as a result of the current federal government shutdown that began on October 1, 2025, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits have not been issued for the month of November. We understand this can be a difficult situation for families and want to ensure the Iroquois community has access to available support and resources during this time.

All students are still entitled to free breakfast and lunch at school for the 2025-2026 school year, regardless of family income. This is a result of a statewide universal free meals program in New York State, meaning your student's school meals are secure and continue without interruption.

Furthermore, as the holiday season and the upcoming school break approaches, we want to ensure families in the community are aware of the resources provided within the community to help alleviate financial burdens. Below is a list of resources to assist with food security, winter clothing, and holiday supports.
