01/03/2023 Superintendent's Message

Dear Iroquois Family,

Happy New Year and welcome back to school for 2023.  I hope everyone had a great holiday break and was able to dig out of the 2022 end-of-year blizzard.

End of Marking Period

For secondary students, January is the end of the second quarter and semester.  Please take time to review your child’s progress in the parent portal.  With a few weeks left, they may still have time to improve grades and make-up available work.

Congratulations and Thanks

The winter concert season was full of spectacular events.  From the High School to the elementary buildings, joy was spread by the student performances.  I hope everyone was able to attend one or more of the events.  Thank you to the Music Department.

Iroquois Strategic Plan - Communication

Weekly announcements for the entire District have now moved to the new communication platform. Phone messages will now be only for snow days, important timely information, and immediate must-know information.  Remember the reason for the change is to allow parents to recognize the difference between needing to answer the phone and communication that can wait until an opportune time to review.

Upcoming events on the calendar:

January 5th—Wales Primary and Middle School PTO meetings are at 6PM.

January 11th—Elma Primary PTO 6:15PM; Marilla Primary PTO 6PM.

January 16th—Martin Luther King Day NO SCHOOL

January 18th—Board of Education meeting 7PM Middle School

Athletic team schedules:

I hope everyone has a great week.
