Dear Iroquois Family,

Good afternoon, here is important information for the week of February 6^th:

Strategic Plan

The first step in upgrading and communicating with families is now complete.  This communication along with communications from the principals is sent out directly via text messages and email.  The messages are also posted to the District or school websites so everyone can review the information at a later date.  The District has received very positive feedback, but if you have any suggestions please email them to me at: dscofield@iroquoiscsd.org

The Strategic Plan also focuses on a long-range plan for Iroquois’ facilities.  The principals have already provided important information on their buildings.  The next step will be the reformation of a facilities committee task force. This committee will have members from all stakeholders in the District.  Next week I will be sending out a link to gather names of individuals interested in joining the team.  Please consider if this is something you would be interested in joining. 

Universal Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration is now open!

We are happy to announce an additional UPK classroom will be open in the fall, making 54 spots available this year.  Information is available on the Iroquois website: www.iroquoiscsd.org.  You will find the student registration packet and required documents needed to register your child.  Completed registration forms must be received by the end of the day on March 31^st, 2023 to be eligible for the UPK lottery.  Kindergarten registrations are requested to be completed by the end of March as well, to help prepare for kindergarten screening in May.

Latest Cyber Trend for Parents to Know

The school SROs will be attending a three-day training seminar on crisis management for schools.  The training will be during the February break.  At Iroquois, safety is the top priority.

Earthquake

This morning, Western New York experienced an earthquake.  If your child has concerns regarding this, please contact their school counselor who will meet with them to discuss it.
