Dear Iroquois Family,
Good afternoon, here is important information for the week of March 6th:
Strategic Plan
One important part of the Strategic Plan is the development of a comprehensive long-range facilities development and maintenance plan. The District is re-forming the Facilities Committee to evaluate our student, staff and community infrastructure requirements. The findings of this committee will help shape future capital projects in our district. We plan to start meeting in March and complete our work by May.
To improve interaction, we plan to have meetings in-person, usually in the Middle School STEM room. The typical time will be 4:00 to 5:30 pm.

High School
The High School Drama Club will be performing The Sponge Bob Musical this year. Performances are on March 16th, 17th and 18th.

For Parents to Know
You are cordially invited to attend the Iroquois Board of Education Community Roundtable on Wednesday, March 15th in the Middle School Cafeteria from 5-6PM.
Roundtable discussions are held by the Board of Education as an opportunity to dialog in an informal setting. All community members are invited to share in conversation with the Board.
The regular Board of Education meeting will follow at 7PM in Room 96.
Art Department
Here is the link to our February Art update K-12! Be sure to check out the artwork, recognitions and upcoming exhibitions.
At the end of this month, several of our high school art students will be exhibiting their work at The Spring Celebration at The Czurles-Nelson Gallery. The event is sponsored by The Buffalo State Design Dept. The exhibit will be held from March 13-29th with an evening reception for students on March 23 at 6:00pm. The awards will be announced at this time.
Music Department
On Tuesday, March 7, at 7:30 PM, the High School Vocal Music Department presents "A March Intermezzo". This concert will be held in the HS auditorium and will feature a delightful mix of music performed by several of our choral groups as well as some of our talented senior soloists! This concert is free and open to the public!
Congratulations to senior clarinetist Aurelia for her acceptance into the New York State Band Director’s Association State-wide Honor Band. Aurelia was chosen from amongst hundreds of applicants to represent Iroquois in Syracuse over the weekend of March 3-5. She participated in a weekend of rehearsals with students from throughout New York State, which culminated in a grand finale concert held on Sunday afternoon. Aurelia is an active member and leader of multiple performing ensembles in the Iroquois High School Music Department and plans to pursue a career in music after graduating this year. Congratulations Aurelia!
