3/20/2023 Superintendent's Message

Dear Iroquois Family,

Good afternoon, here is important information for the week of March 20th:

Primary Schools

The New York State 3-8 assessments will be the week of April 17th for ELA and the week of May 1st for Mathematics. Each assessment now only has two sections for about 80 minutes each.  This has been a great improvement that allows our teachers to use the information to evaluate our curriculum program and instruction. I am looking forward to seeing the great results Iroquois is known for having as a premier instructional institution.

High School

The High School Musical, The Sponge Bob Musical performed this past weekend.  It was one of, if not the best performances of the decade to see.  The entire audience was completely engaged, every actor exemplified their role.  I truly enjoyed being in the audience for this outstanding performance.

Library Department

The Iroquois Library Department is excited to be hosting the national touring group Poetry Alive! Performances are scheduled in all schools this week. Professional actors bring poetry from the page to the stage, presenting classic, popular, and contemporary poems. Poetry Alive! performances will be an engaging, interactive, and educational experience for our students.
