BOE Candidate Petitions Now Accepted
The Iroquois Central School District Board of Education is comprised of seven members who are elected to serve a 5-year term. On June 30, 2023, the 5-year terms of Mrs. Sharon Szeglowski and Mrs. Louise Toth will expire.
Residents interested in running for the Board may pick up a petition and informational packet from the District Clerk in room #33 of the Intermediate Building. As per Education Law, all prospective candidates must obtain a minimum of 30 valid signatures, which represents two percent of the 2021-2022 total vote count.
Qualified candidates must be a resident of the district for at least one year prior to the election, a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years of age, able to read and write, and not an employee of the district.
Petitions must be returned to the office of the District Clerk by 5:00PM on Monday April 17, 2023. This year’s election will be held on May 16, 2023.
