-The Iroquois Library Department is excited to announce that Native American author, Joseph Bruchac, will be visiting Iroquois Middle School on Tuesday, April 23! Mr. Bruchac will be telling traditional Native American stories, playing music, and discussing the numerous books he has written throughout his decades-long career. 


-Parents and Students of 5th Grade Orchestra: Our spring concert will be on Thursday, April 25th at 7:30 in the Middle School Auditorium. Students should report to the Orchestra room between 6:15 and 6:30. Concert Dress is mandatory.

For Boys: Nice Black pants and a white button down or polo. Black socks and black dress shoes. A tie is encouraged, but not required.

For Girls: Black dress pants or a black skirt below the knees. A white blouse and black dress shoes.


-State Assessments:  State assessments have begun.  Math (grades 5-8)will be on April 24-25th, and Science (grade 5 and grade 8 only) will be April 29-30th. All opt-out requests must be submitted by April 19th.  This will allow us time for the preparation of administering the assessments.  For more information click on the link: State Assessment Letter to Parents


-The Middle School club Teens in Action is starting a recycling program with “Gotsneakers”, a Sneaker Recycling Organization. Their mission is to recycle and reuse previously loved sneakers. We’ll keep sneakers out of landfills as well as have our sneakers shared with people who may need them. The recycling program will start on April 15. Donations can be made in the boxes in the foyer and other drop off locations in the building.
