February 16 - Principal's Message
Greetings, Elma Primary Families.
This week we celebrated Valentine’s Day and our 100th day of school. Thank you to our teachers and families for providing fun Valentine’s Day experiences for our students and for going all-out to celebrate our 100th day. It was quite a sight to see our kindergarteners and staff members dressed as 100-year-old-versions of themselves!
Our PTO will be hosting a family ice skating event at Leisure Rinks on February 26th. For more information about the event, visit the Elma Primary website and click on the link in our calendar.
A final reminder that the next phase of our new mass notification system, automated attendance messaging, will begin the week of February 27th. The new system automatically generates the phone calls based on attendance information entered into eSchool, our student information system. To prevent an absence call from automatically generating, we ask that parents and guardians call our school nurse, Mrs. Steck, no later than 9:30 AM to report their student absent or tardy.
Tomorrow, Friday, February 17th, there will be no school due to a Superintendent’s Conference Day. Monday, February 20th, there will be no school in observance of President’s Day, followed by Mid-Winter Recess, which will run through Friday, February 24th. We hope everyone has an enjoyable, relaxing break, and if you are traveling, we wish you safe travels.
Thank you for a great week, and we look forward to reconnecting with our students and families on February 27th.
Sincerely,
Pete Dobmeier
