Good Afternoon Marilla Primary & UPK Families -
On Tuesday evening, the primary counselors partnered with the Child Advocacy Center and presented parents with information on our K-4 personal safety program. If anyone was unable to attend or has additional questions after attending, please feel free to reach out to our school counselor, Ms. Cheney.
On Wednesday evening, our PTO met to recap Jingles Workshop and plan for upcoming events at Marilla Primary. We are looking forward to offering some great experiences for our students and families this spring, including field trips supported by our PTO, Field Day in June and the 4th Grade Picnic. We are working on the details for the Book Fair that is scheduled for March 24th. The PTO is looking to move this to May 22nd and make the evening a Family Arts Evening. More details and conformation to come as the chairpeople see if the dates work for the vendors involved.
The UPK children were treated to special guests this week as parents came in to share what they do for their careers. The children enjoyed their visitors and learned a lot!
The 3rd and 4th grade Chorus Concert will be on Friday, January 20th at 2:00 pm. We are happy to share that we are able to have students’ families attend the performance, which will be held at the church next to the school (First Baptist Church Marilla) in the sanctuary. We are excited to be welcomed by the church to use this wonderful space for our concert! Parking is available at the school as well as in the church parking lot. We will be sending a permission note home Tuesday so parents can let us know if you will be taking your child home with you after the concert and if there are younger siblings you will need to pick up early. Please return this slip by Thursday, January 19th . Younger siblings will be brought to the cafeteria for pick up after the concert.
There is no school on Monday, January 16th in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
Have a great weekend and GO BILLS!
