Starting Off Your Freshman Year
Now that the school year is underway, we would like to officially welcome all of our Freshmen to the high school!
As the year progresses there are a few things that we want you to keep in mind.
1. Get Involved– If you haven’t joined a sports team or a club it’s time to consider what aspect of the high school you want to participate in. Not sure, what's available, check the activity link on the high school main page of the website. Also, please visit your School Counselor for more information.
2. Volunteer— Remember there are 32 community service hours required for graduation. Choose a volunteer opportunity that you might enjoy, or an activity that may help you decide on a future career! We suggest that you attempt to complete hours every year so you are not overwhelmed with hours your senior year. Click here for more volunteer information.
3. Grades Matter! The grades that you are currently earning in high school will be a part of your high school transcript. The transcript is the document that will be submitted to your future employers, college choices, and scholarship committees. Make sure that it is an accurate reflection of your highest potential.
Experiencing Problems? We understand that you may have some difficulties while you are in high school. Remember that we have resources available to help assist you. Please see your School Counselor who can link you with academic support, social/emotional support, and assist you with a variety of your needs.
