Course Expectations
Iroquois Driver Education is a non-credit bearing course designed to educate students on appropriate driving skills and habits and to help prepare them to be responsible drivers.
Students are expected to:
- Attend every in-class and in-car session. The attendance policy is posted on the website.
- Arrive on time for every in-class and in-car session.
- You MUST bring your permit with you to EVERY in-car session.
- Car assignments are established and will not change to accommodate friend requests. Car assignments may be changed by administration if necessary.
- Double check the car and classroom for your belongings. Iroquois Driver Education is NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Electronic device use (cell phones, AirPods, etc.) is NOT permitted in the car or classroom.
- School policies are also in effect for Driver Education. This includes but is not limited to the dress code and behavior expectations. Inappropriate behavior/disturbances in the car or classroom may result in dismissal from the program without refund.
- Flip flops or any shoes without heel straps are not permitted during in-car instruction.
Iroquois Driver Education will:
- Issue Student Certificates of Completion (MV-285) at the conclusion of the course to all students that have satisfied the attendance requirements, passed the in-car portion with a minimum grade of 65 AND passed the in-class portion with a minimum grade of 65. Lost certificates will be replaced for a $25.00 fee and may take several weeks to process (depending on certificate availability).
