Summer 2026 Information

SCHEDULE/OVERVIEW:
Driver’s Education will be offered in collaboration with BOCES to Iroquois District Residents Only this Summer 2026 (residency is verified upon registration). Students will have 90 minutes of in-classroom instruction (9:00am-10:30am) daily AND 90 minutes of in-car instruction (Options: 7:30am-9:00am OR 10:30am-12:00pm OR 12:30pm-2:00pm) daily. There are two sessions to choose from:
Session 1: July 1-23 (12 spots available) - NO Driver Ed Friday, July 3rd (School Closed) 
Session 2: July 27-August 17 (12 spots available)
Sessions are weekdays only, no weekends. You will select your Session (1 or 2) preference and in-car instruction time when you register. NOTE: There is not a "list" and requests to "hold" spots will not be honored.  
 
ATTENDANCE:
Attendance is mandatory. Students must complete all 48 hours of instruction in order to satisfy the requirements of the course. Check the Attendance Policy for details.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
You must be 16 years of age and hold a valid New York State permit or driver’s license before the course begins in order to take the course (NO EXCEPTIONS). Students must pass the course with a minimum grade of 65 in the classroom and a 65 in the car in order to receive the MV-285 Certificate of Completion. FEE:
The course fee is $415.00. Refunds will not be given once the program has begun (NO EXCEPTIONS). Cancelation requests must be received by the date indicated in your confirmation email to receive a refund.
 
REGISTRATION: 
Registration opens on May 5th. Registration will be available online at 8:00am on May 5th through RevTrak (echeck or credit card) or by bringing in (cash or check only) or mailing in (check) the registration form with payment. Students may bring registration forms and payment at 8:00am on May 5th to the Community/Driver Ed office in the Intermediate Building Room 31. Parents/guardians do NOT need to come with their student to register. However, the parent/guardian must sign the registration form giving consent or it will not be accepted.  The Summer 2026 Registration Information section will be activated and forms will be available to download and print the evening of May 4th. NOTE: Registering online is the recommended method as it is the quickest and most efficient. Forms that are hand-delivered or mailed in do not receive preferential treatment.   
 
MISCELLANEOUS:
Refunds are allowed if you withdraw your registration by the deadline (10:00am on June 24th for Session 1 and 10:00am on July 20th for Session 2). Registrations made online incur a $17 cancelation fee. No refunds once the course begins (NO EXCEPTIONS).
Certificates of Completion (MV-285) will be issued upon successful completion of the course.
